Mozilla has announced the availability of the first Firefox beta version for Windows, Linux, Mac OS X and Android. The new desktop version contains an integrated version-channel switcher designed and support for CSS animations. The new mobile version is the support for not track header and a number of other improvements.
Mozilla is moving to a faster-paced development model with shorter cycles between major releases. The organization is aiming at three more major updates this year, to provide the number of the Firefox version 7 until the end of 2011. To support the more iterative release management strategy, Mozilla has been a system of the release of "Channels" with the new improvements will flow, before arriving in a stable version. It is similar to the approach that has already been successfully used by Google for its chrome Web browser.
