New mobile Web Google maps underlines sad state native iOS app

Google released an update for the mobile Web version of Google maps on Friday, many features that previously included add native app in the - now, the Android app anyway. The additional capabilities bring Web maps up to par with the native app Android users have since some time had, even though the Web app on Android compared to the native app is less smooth. The mobile Web version provides many features to iOS user, which it never the native app, such as cycling route overlays and directions made to.

With the new mobile Web version of Google maps, users have access to many features that existed only in the desktop and Android versions of the program: clickable icons for transit stations and companies; Satellite, traffic and bicycle path levels; and integration with places pages, that hours and customer reviews, and reports can contain information such as a business.
